An attractive heirloom Cos lettuce with crisp, tender, dark red to bronze leaves arranged loosely on sturdy plants up 30cm tall. A good all round garden variety since the 1840’s Cimmaron has stood the test of time. Plants are very hardy, being both heat and cold tolerant and ideal for the home garden.

The Cos lettuce is named after the Greek Island of Cos, and is also known as Romaine because it became popular with the Ancient Romans whom found it growing there.
