(Brassica chinensis purpura makino) Hon Tsai Tai is a flowering purple Choy Sum producing pencil-thin purple flower stalks. Young leaves, flower buds and stems are excellent in salads, stir-fry and soups. Very vigorous and cold tolerant.
Sow from spring till autumn, or right through winter in mild climates. Feed heavily with nitrogen rich fertilisers. Full sun or part shade in warm climates. 30-50 days.
