This exquisite long slender glossy blackish brown chilli from Mexico has a mild heat and slightly sweet flavour.
When fresh it is called ‘Chilaca” and used in salsa and enchilada sauce, but when dried and ground into a powder it is called ‘pasilla’ or ‘little raisin’ to make delicious mole sauces.
