Kohlrabi is a selection of cabbage producing a large bulbous swollen edible stem sitting as ground level and resembling a turnip. Kohlrabi is an easy to grow and quick to mature. Sow Kohlrabi seeds in spring and early autumn in cool to temperate climates and over the winter months for subtropical to tropical climates.
