A European species rose with soft pink, fragrant, single flowers and scented leaves when crushed. Fruit has a pleasant vanilla fragrance which can be made into a delicious jam. Plants grow up to 3m in height and it requires a moist soil and a full sun to part shade position. Excellent for hedging.

Seed requires Stratification. Autumn sowing recommended.
